About MDO
Makhir Diaspora Organization
Makhir/Maakhir Diaspora Organization (MDO) is a community-based nonprofit organization formed to advance the social, political, and economic interests of the Makhir community in the diaspora and in the homeland. MDO is organized under the Internal Revenue Code (IRC) section 501(c)(4) to promote the social welfare of the Makhir community.

Mission
The mission of the Makhir Diaspora Organization (MDO) is to build a united community working together to harness the skills, expertise, knowledge, and resources of the Makhir community. MDO aims to address the social, political, and economic interests of the Makhir people both in the diaspora and in their homeland.
By fostering strong connections and promoting collective action and teamwork, MDO seeks to improve the well-being of the Makhir community and support economic growth in Sanaag and Haylaan regions of northern Somalia.
Vision
Our vision is to be the most creative organization that brings together Makhir communities in the world to leverage their resources for sustainable developments and growth in their homeland for current and future generations.
